About the event
EduBiotaLab is a school project that brings microbiology and the study of the human microbiota into secondary school classrooms. Aimed at students in grades 10 through 12 of the Science and Technology course, the project is conducted by the teachers themselves, with teaching resources, laboratory materials, and scientific support provided by the promoting team.
Over five monthly hands-on sessions, students explore topics such as microbial diversity, fermentation, immunity, and sustainability. The project also includes a mandatory artistic activity involving photography, with selected works being included in a final exhibition at the Vila do Conde Science Centre.
EduBiotaLab is an initiative of iB2Lab – LAQV – REQUIMTE, in collaboration with CIDTFF and CCVVC, and aims to promote scientific literacy, critical thinking, and the active involvement of young people in science.
